in a row. They are 15th in the NL in runs, hits, total bases,
home runs, RBIs, times shut out, and slugging percentage.
And, a reminder of the Hernandez days, the Brewers lead the

The Brewers played the 100th game of the season and the 100th
game against the Cubs. The Cubs lead the all-time record 51-49.
Interstingly, the Brewers have an identical record for the
first 100 games: .490.

their 5 game winning streak while giving the Pirates a nine
game winning streak. What is up with the Pirates? This is
the longest losing streak the Brewers have had this season.

Podsednik was caught stealing for the first time this season,

Never have the Brewers come from 9 runs down, but tonight
they had the biggest comeback in the majors since Cleveland
fell behind by 12 runs before defeating Seattle 15-14 on Aug.
5, 2001. It completed the first sweep of the season.
April 26, A Milwaukee
First:
Never in the history of a Milwaukee baseball team has the
hometown team hit for the cycle in their home park. Chad Moeller
ended what not even the Milwaukee Braves could not do. Moeller
became the first Brewers player to hit for the cycle since
Molitor did in 1991. No Milwaukee Brewer or Brave ever hit
for the cycle in County Stadium!
The Brewers also had the second lowest attendance
since going into Miller Park. Attendance, however, is still
above last years's figure by more than 10,000 fans.

Hero:
Whitefish Bay native and Mequon resident, Craig Counsell hit
his first game ending hit.

Back Richie:
Richie Sexson returns to Miller Park as a Diamondback and
Doug Melvin is feeling good as the Brewers take 2-3 in the
series where Sexson goes 1-12 including a fifteen inning game
on April 22 - the longest in the majors this year.

Already?
The Brewres lost to Houstin in just one hour and fifty eight
minutes, the shortest game of the season so far.
April 12, Bonds
Hits 660*:
Bary Bonds hit his 660th home run to tie godfather Willie
Mays for third on baseball's career list. Milwaukee's Matt
Kinnee was the lucky pitcher as the Brewers participated in
the third season opener.
April 10, First
win of 2004:
Sheets had a carrer high ten Ks to get his and Miller Park's
first win of the season. Sheets is the first Brewer to have
double digit strike outs since Jamey Wright struck out 12
Astros on August 31, 2001.
April 9, Home
Opener:
The Brewers lost there home opener and are now 2-2 in Miller
Park openers. The Brewers blasted two balls over the wall
for 11 home runs in their first five games.
April 7, Already
Better than '03:
A 3-1 start is much better than last years 0-6. The Crew have
also matched last seasons wins against the Cardinals, outscoring
them 30-25. The predicted worse three teams lead the NL Central
with the Brewers on top. Let's hope they can keep up the good
work!
April 6, On a
Roll!:
Geoff Jenkins hit two triples to match a franchise-record
to move two games above .500 for the first time since June
26, 2001. The Crew are on top of their division for the first
time since May 8, 1995, when they were 8-3 atop the American
League Central.
April 5, Opening
Day 2004:
The Brewers open on the road for the
ninth year in a row with Ben Sheets starting for the third
consecutive year. Sheets is the first pitcher since Teddy
Higuera (1985-88) to receive this honor. The Brewers won the
game, putting them above .500 for the first time in over two
years! Also, President Bush through out the first pitch.
April 4, Bambi
Remembered:
George Bamberger passed away at the
age of 80 today. As the manager of Bambi's Bombers in the
late 70's and again in the late 80's, fans should remember
him as one of the best coaches ever!

Day in History:
Two years ago today was the last time
the Brewers were above .500 when they began their 106 loss
season 1-0.
March 29, A Positive
Sign?:
The Brewers clinched their first winning
Spring Training season since 1995. They finished the exhibition
schedule atop of the Cactus league with a 18-12 (.600) record,
the fourth best in MLB, and second best in the NL behind the
Expos.
