Originally launched in 1997 as a college site during my undergraduate
days at the University of Wisconsin - Parkside, the site was hosted
on a college server and contained a lot of personal information. As
I have been a life long genealogist (since the fourth grade) I wanted
a better outlet to continue my research and reach more people. As
a result, I expanded the site to my AOL account then to a local Wisconsin
Internet provider once I moved to Boston. This provider hosted the
account until 2000 when mjreese.com was purchased and The MJReese.Community
was launched.
The MJReese.Community has always been dedicated to my family and
researching my roots. The Reese Family Genealogy is the primary focus
of the site. The Milwaukee Brewers, another lifelong passion of mine,
has also been a part of the site since its launch. In 2003, after
emmersing myself in my new carreer path, I decided to add a new area
to the Website: Educational Resources. As I created projects for my
course work I would post them on my site for my classmates and partners
to view. Upon completion of the program, I reformated the section
to include my personal Webquests and other resources that I have created
or found useful.
